“Eating Smart, Being Active” Workshops
Location: EduKitchen, Maite Pay-Less 751 Chalan Machaut, Mongmong, 96913, Guam
Time: 9:00AM-1:00PM
The University of Guam’s EFNEP program is launching a 4-part cooking series at the Pay-Less EduKitchen in Maite, designed for young adults ages 18–25. These hands-on workshops teach participants how to prepare delicious, nutritious, and budget-friendly meals using fresh, local ingredients. Each session features fun cooking activities, simple recipes, and smart tips for healthy eating on a budget.

Pay-Less Community Foundation, Circle of Care Psycho-Oncology In-Person Support Group

The Circle of Care Psycho-Oncology Support Program offers free wellness services to cancer patients and their support teams in Guam. These sessions are designed to nurture emotional well-being, foster connection, and support healing through shared experiences and creative expression. This date will feature group sharing, restorative yoga, and art for healing.

26th Annual Guam Diabetes Conference

Hosted by the Guam Diabetes Association, this year’s conference highlights nerve health and diabetes awareness with the theme “Happy Feet! The Nerve of Diabetes.” Attendees can connect with experts and explore tools for healthier living across the island. The Health Smart Department will have an outreach table, Carb Smarts for Island Wellness, sharing tips to balance grains & starches for better glucose control and nerve health.

Nourish to Thrive: Carbohydrate Awareness in Autism Care

Hosted by Spectrum Consulting Group, the Autism Parent Support Group offers a welcoming space for families and caregivers of individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) to connect and learn. As part of the program, the Pay-Less Health Smart team will present a nutrition workshop, “Nourish to Thrive: Carbohydrate Awareness in Autism Care,” led by registered dietitian, Rosae Shandor. This engaging session will explore the impact of blood glucose and carbohydrate balance for autism management.
